When you write poetry
Everything talks to you
The wind, the trees, flowers,
Traffic on city streets
The moon takes on a new life
Especially internally
Even ordinary existence
Is full of non-ordinariness
A stone by the side of the road
Tells me many stories
The true nature of things
Is partly revealed...But...
The common world
Still confuses me
Meaning still eludes me
But, even this, I write about
