whats up everyone, my name is John, i live in TX and lately have been really involved in drugs and crime, i REALLY want to change that and I'm looking for a good disciplinary MA to take, I'm not to sure if Aikido is one for that but it grabbed my attention, I'm going to take Aikido regardless, but any other suggestions of a MA thats disciplinary would be awesome, I'm 6ft, 185 lbs, took TKD when i was younger and got all the way to blue belt, but i was just a kid then and it didn't mean much to me =)

well I'm still a kid, only 17 years old, but anyways, going to start a Aikido class on monday, really excited about that =)

well off to read more of "TAO of Jeet Kune Do"

Laterz,
John

Welcome John and good luck with your Aikido training.

I've found in most martial arts the discipline to train and learn is more self imposed that dojo imposed personally. Hopefully Aikido will stir something inside you that will spark your desire to learn and grow.
