Hi Steven,

Welcome to AikiWeb. I'm sure people who are tall (a criterion which doesn't really fit me) will be able to help you...

Hi Steven,

I'm 6' 2", I never worried about it when I was there, they could still throw me and dump me into the floor ;).

OK, so I know what you mean really :). For some techniques, being tall is in your favour, use it to your advantage. the ones that give me most problems are koshinage and shihonage, where you have to get down low, keep your back straight but bend your legs, or even drop into suwari if necessary. Koshinage can be a problem for some of your uke's too, it's quite a high drop for them  .

Regards
