Well off topic, I know. :)

I'm just curious how many of us use Japanese cutlery on the kitchen, both authentic Japanese and westernized?

Do you mean chopsticks? Japanese company-made knives (very nice steelware - though most of it is actually made in Korea!)? Shamoji (rice spatulas)? Or the countless funny-looking, complicatedly-named things for straining katsuo stock and miso, or rolling sweet eggs ?! :D

Anyway, I use all of them, but I'd be hard-pressed not to where I am! :D

No Mat, I meant something like 270mm takobiki and such from Seki. Nor exactly hand made, but not from Korea either. ;)
May be not where you are, but where I am, it's a nice touch of Japanese craftsmanship in my everyday reality.

It's all in our heads, context wise...

Actually I'm on the look out for a nice vegetable knife... my gf always favours 'cheap'! Sacrilege! ;) :D
