1. From what I can see at the website of the seminar in Louisville, this looks like it is simply a series of classes. Is this correct?
2. I'm guessing that these seminars are very well attended. How does the guest instructor pay attention to all of the people that are training at once?
3. At what point in my training should I consider attending one of these seminars? By the time the seminar in Louisville rolls around I will have been a student for approx. 1 month. It seems like at that point I'd simply be a nuisance to the more advanced students trying to learn more advanced techniques/new ways to do the "old" techniques they've known for some time but that I haven't even learned yet.
Maybe I'm totally off base here... that's why I'm asking! :D
Your questions really depend on the seminar. Some instructors will try to give personal instruction to everyone attending, while others demonstrate the technique four times and that's about all you get.
Here's something I wrote up a while back on my thoughts on attending seminars:

Awesome resource, I'll certainly read that a few more times before attending my first seminar.
As usual though, the answer has spawned more questions:
You mention to label your "equipment". I don't have equipment, and I probably won't be getting any (besides a dogi) before this seminar happens. Is this a problem, or would I just watch the forms that involve weapons? Thanks!

Ask your sensei whether or not you'll need weapons for the seminar, and if you don't have any, if you can bring them from your dojo. If you're willing to learn, and you try hard during the seminar, then it's not wasting anyone's time, so go.
Seminars are a great way to learn different ways to do similar technique. It will be difficult because you haven't really learned A way to do a technique yet, but again, just try.
