Hi,
I was wondering if there are websites where I can download clips showing weapons techniques - e.g. kumi tachi, ken dori, kumi jo, jo dori, etc...
Thanks :)

Hi Paberu,
I saw the thread when it first appeared. The clips were quite impressive :)
However, I was wondering if there was a website that showed the weapons techniques, section by section - much like those websites that show either grading techniques by rank or by attack - e.g. shomenuchi + ikkyo, shomenuchi + iriminage, etc... So, I would imagine something like ken dori + nikkyo, ken dori + sankyo, etc... or kumi tachi + ichi, kumi tachi + ni, etc...
Thanks!

budodojo.com then click "aikido in motion" I think, haven't been there in awhile, but they have lots of vids. The weapons clips are towards the bottom of that page.
I've also seen clips at bujindesign.com and a couple of other pages that I can't recall right now

If you're doing Iwama style Aikido the late Saito sensei's DVDs are everything you could ask for. "Aiki ken" and "Aiki Jo" are available from Aikido Journal. I tried to follow the internet clips from Aikido in motion but the full-screen DVDs are a lot easier to study.
Just a thought.

So you would rather take an elbow in the face full force or a strike before you move? interesting!
