Hi all,

I know, or think I know that Tohei invented or put together the healing side of Aikido ( kiatsu ), but did O'sensei ever have anything to do with healing?

Are there any anecdotes or stories, around that he was also into developing the healing aspect to our great path.

I've just ordered two books by tohei, 'Ki in daily life' and 'Kiatsu', and have always been interested in this aspect to our lives, although very skeptical or so i think, I also believe that there are certian aspects to this life that dont need explaination and can appear magical with or without explaining.

Anyway I was just wondering if there are any stories of Ueshiba involved with this aspect of the art, as well as people's views on this kind or any kind of healing in general

thanks

Most schools of Ju-jitsu have resuscitation techniques and such like so he'd probably been exposed to that kind of thing. Actually thinking about it I wonder why Aikido doesn't continue the tradition.
