I'm a beginner who's been training for a couple months in my dojo's morning classes. I recently started attending the Saturday evening classes and found them to be quite a bit more challenging than the morning ones.
Specifically, in Saturday evening classes we study a technique called Hiriki no Yosei (3). Sensei and my fellow students seem quite adept at this technique, but every time I try it, I end up having to be carried, mumbling incoherently, out of the dojo. The next morning I am invariably stiff, sore, and still groggy.
I'm trying to be the best Aikidoka that I can, but I'm afraid that this technique will end up defeating me... Is there any advice that others can offer me?

Keep up with the practice ;). The body always gets stiff and sore when you start doing something new, it requires conditioning through practice to change this. Keep it up and pretty soon you'll suddenly realize that you don't feel it any more, give up now and nothing will change.
Andrew...but do the morning classes seem easier now? ;)
