Hello people. :)

Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm a "fresh" Aikidoka from Oslo, Norway. :cool:

A little(well... a lot) about myself.
I started practicing Aikido in a small Aikido club in Sofiemyr, Norway august 1999, and took 6th kyu December the same year. After that, the club I practiced in, Mihashira Dojo fell apart because the main instructor had to relocate because of work issues. In addition to that, I got a more and more busy schedule, so I lay my martial arts practice on ice.

This Christmas, I felt the urge to begin again, and since I'm only taking two classes on the University of Oslo this semester, and only work Mondays, Fridays and every other weekend, I have a lot of free time, and started to practice Aikido again at Sunyata Dojo in Oslo. I have practiced there for about a month now, and have nothing but good things to say about the people training there, as well as the great instructors we have there. :) I try to practice every Thursday, Wednesday and Thursday, and when I don't work in the weekends. Sunyata have a lot of classes each week, and does also have weapons-classes(bokken and Jo), so I have had between 9 and 11 hours of practice each week since I started. :)

Last week I brought my girlfriend to watch a class, and she might begin practicing after summer. Would be great if that happens. :)

Aikido isn't the only martial art I have practiced. I was briefly into Shotokan Karate when I was 13, but changed to practicing Ji Do Kwan - Tae Kwon Do in Ski, Norway after a few months, since most of my friends practiced there. I continued to practice TKD until I was 16, and had a red belt(or 4th kup. TKD ranks start at 10th kup). By that time, both my meniscus' where injured, and I had to operate both, so I decided to spare my knees any more torture. :sorry:

Well, that was a lot of rambling about myself. Hope I haven't bored anyone. :rolleyes:
