Greetings to all and in the words of the Karen hilltribes of Burma and Thailand, "Long life and blue skies." I am a
novice in Aikido--was taught a few very basic moves
years ago in Okinawa, as a Marine in a special operations capable unit (MEU-SOC, Marine expeditionary unit, special operations capable) and looking forward to the Chiang Mai dojo. An expat author, I returned to northern Thailand from fourteen months in country, in Iraq, in Sept. 2004. Very fortunately, both books I completed there went to contract. One was released this last November 2004, the next will come out in May 2005. Cheers to all, and "may the good saints protect 'ye, and the devil neglect 'ye!"
long life and blue skies,
Mike Tucker

Sawadee Hop. Best wishes from Vermont where the temperature is currently negative 5 degrees F. I have an exchange student living with me for year who is from Chiang Mai. His nickname, Fah, means blue skies. Anyway, best of luck in your travels.

Hi Mike,
Welcome, and thank you for your introduction. Thailand is a beautiful country; I wish to be able to return one of these years. Congratulations on your books, too.
