I've been viewing aikiweb for a few weeks now and thought it might be time to join in the discussion - I like to ask questions. Anyway, I'm new to aikido - started in September 2004 and am loving it. I am studying Seidokan, which I gather is a style in the minority, if I'm reading these forums right. I have studied t'ai chi (and ba gua, long-fist kung fu, chi kung) since April of 2000 and had an opportunity to try aikido at a workshop a couple of years ago. It took me a while, but I finally got over to Southside (the dojo where I train) to get thrown around in my new white pajamas. I like all the universal lessons I learn from t'ai chi and aikido and I like that I will be able to practice these arts for years to come. When I'm not in the dojo, I enjoy music (mostly indie folk), working on my old house and hanging out with my dogs.
I look forward to "reading" everyone...I love learning new things and am sure that I will find new things here.
