Hi to all... I am new to Aikido, although I have been reading the articles here voraciously. I just started to tackle the forums. I've taken a little Tae Kwon Do and Tang Soo Do as well as an amazing two visits to Brazilian Ju Jitsu. You'll probably see me on the spirituality and training forums most, as I'm working on blending my strong Christian values with such enigmatic concepts as Ki and O-Sensei's own spiritual beliefs (not that I need to emulate his personal life heh)

Thats a little confusing.. especially because my first name is Michael not Micael, but I couldn't find where to change that. But my middle name is Adam, and that is my given name, that is to say, I was called by my middle name from birth on. To compound the matter, my birth certificate says "Jason" but its crossed out on the official copy. Soooo... I just go by Adam...

Are you the Jun that runs this place? I've found so much great information here!

I know your pain. I am the 4th generation Thomas Ambrose in my family. To "avoid" confusion my family all called me by my middle name "Park." So for many years I was "Park" and not "Thomas," and would always have to explain to people. When I got older I took pride in the family history thing, and started to go by Thomas instead, which also saved a lot of confusion :)

Heh yea.. I've met a few along my path who do simliar things..

Personally, I've gone by Michael at some places of employment, and other times Adam, and only occasionally both, which is great fun and 'confusement' :)
