Finally returned and enjoyed Japan!!

For those of you who dont know, I travelled to Japan and only recently returned. I quite enjoyed Japan, with its culture and its sights, but definately enjoyed the Aikido. I travelled to Tokyo (Staying in Ginza) then from there to Osaka (Osakajokoen) and travelling round there!

I enjoyed both training and watching at Honbu in Tokyo, that was an experience that I'll never forget! I bought a few DVD's and books which are great source of information especially for a beginner! However I also enjoyed training in the Tenshin Dojo in Osaka, which was somethig defferent, which is probably why I enjoyed it a little more.

All in all it was a great experience, something which I'd like to experience all again!! I'm already planning my next trip to Japan (this time without my father hehe :D ) however the next time will be more Aikido at various places such as Iwama, and the Dojo where Hikitsuchi Shihan taught at!!

Anyways just thought I'd drop a post to let people know how my trip went!!

Glad you are back, safe and sound. Sounds as if you traveled well south of those terrible earthquakes. I have only just begun training in Aikido, i have had the good forture to travel to Japan to see family. I miss it too!!! Maybe one of these visit will involve seein a Dojo, but I'd like to improve my skills first.
