I was wondering how Tomiki (or is it now termed Shodokan?) Aikido is doing in England? I used to train at Kevin Lee's dojo in Newbury, Berkshire, and I miss the Skenfrith course (even miss being thrown through a doorway while training at Skenfrith - at least the door wasn't closed and I landed on some nice, soft whitebelts :D ). Is the coach training program still running? Would love to know.

Take care,

As far as I know it's doing great!

If things have not changed, the BAA is still the biggest Aikido organisation within the UK. Last I heard, even some "traditional" Aikido clubs joined it to have a go at Embu and Randori to test themselves. The Squad training still happen regularly and both the summer and winter schools are on. I'll be at Skinny this year and testing for nidan if my jaw is all healed. Anyone else here be there?

The coach course is ran by the BAB so you'll have to ask them. Their web site is easy to google.
