I just finished watching the movie "Dogville."

Has anyone else seen it? What did you think of its point, especially from an Aikido perspective?

It has a take on arrogance, compassion, violence and responsibility that is very strong, and because these very same issues are brought up in discussion here I think it would make for interesting debate.

I don't entirely know what I think yet, but I'd love it if others could respond (or even go rent the movie if you havn't).

I thought Dogville was an excellent movie. :) All the actors were superb. And the storyline... wow.

In an aikido view... I don't know. She was very passive and in the end, well, she exploded. From a personal point of view, I would've left. Bad situation... I'm not there, you know?

Or I would've gone back home and tried to make ammends, nevermind they were the ones shooting at me. But I never would've left myself be put in the situation she was in towards the end. That goes beyond degredation.
