Since it seems to be the fashion round these parts... <grin>
Hey all,
I'm a 6th kyu British university student who has been ... well -attempting- aikido for about 3 years now - bearing in mind the annoying lack of a dojo where I spend the holidays, and the yet more annoying persistent lack of good health. (Long story.. suffice to say, the first time a grading was arranged I couldn't attend due to an emergency appendectomy..)
Still feeling a bit beaten up from a course on Saturday so all I'm actually wondering at the moment, is whether Jun gets sick of writing all those 'Thank you and welcome' replies... but since I just about know enough to realise how much I don't know, I'm sure they'll be more!
Got funny looks chuckling at the humour section, which has -gotta- be good...
Karen

Hi Karen,
I started at a uni club (Leeds), it's a great way of avoiding the library and ending up with a 2:ii. Which one are you at?

Hey Mark,
I'm at Reading.. so not precisely a short jog down the motorway...
Yeah, it's terrible. It's like 'What am I going to do on Monday? (or Friday, or whatever..) Well, yes aikido, but what actual -work-?' And yet, part of me still thinks I have the right priorities... There is no hope. I am an aiki-holic. One with the approximate progress rate of an elderly snail, true... <wry smile>

Small world
Ha! I realised after posting that the name was familiar, I met you at the course in Reading last weekend. I'm Jen's friend who sat opposite you at the dinner after practice!
Take care,
Mark
