Hey I just started doing Aikido, it's great btw!
I'm so excited about going next time.
But my question is, is there like online information about the techniques, like with pictures and the actual name etc?
I don't mean movies btw, cuz I found a lot of movies, but pictures is a lot more usefull.
I was just wondering u know, cuz I also wanna know the names of some techniques i learned, cuz I didn't quite understood everything the Sensei said (talking about names here).
Thx for replies!

There is plenty of places on vast world of the internet that can direct you to pictures and the likes, I think it depends on what style of Aikido you do for the names.... Some styles have different names for techniques than others... But I would recommend asking your Sensei or Sempai about the names of techniques as they will probably be more helpful when it comes to pronunciation and stuff!

Happy Training,
Graham.

That's great, but I'd still like to know some nice places, just as a reference. And it's not like I didn't search for it yet on the net, there just not that easy to find.

Type the following into www.Google.com

"Aikido" Results of about 2,490,000 for "aikido

Then spend the rest of your waking moments reading.

or

whilst at www.Google.com click the "images" link then type

"Aikido" Results of about 157,000 for "aikido

Then spend the rest of your waking moments looking.

Enjoy ! :)

This is Fujimaki Sensei (Aikikai Hombu, Japan) doing Ikkyo (E- kyo)
There are a lot of pictures like these at my dojo's website: http://www.aikidoofhilo.org
I'd be happy to help you out with names and things like that, but keep in mind that the names of techniques do vary slightly between styles of aikido. What style do you practice?

I also just found this link with cute sketches of Ushiro-tekubitori (grabbing two wrists from behind) kotegaishi (the technique)

Also, this site has a nice pronouciation key for you: http://www.aikidofaq.com/dictionary/

Good luck!
