Best DVD for basic Aikido techniques?

I was wondering if anyone can recommend a good DVD that covers all the basic Aikido techniques and if anyone has experience with supplementing their dojo instruction in this way. I am a new student practicing at a USAF dojo and I feel like it might be helpful to be able to watch these techniques done well at home, in addition to at the dojo.

Very clear teaching. The woman does some marvelous randori. Well worth your money, time, and attention. I bought the set after reviewing one. The book is good, too.

I would highly suggest Yamada Sensei's "The Power and the Basics". I think it was done in the early 80's (Waite Sensei, uke, is sporting a jeri curl:-) so the quality is not like todays material but you can't go wrong with that one.
It covers the basic requirements as well as variations.

Also, I'm not sure how you knew that I sport jeri curls but I don't appreciate the implication that they're out of style. I suppose you'd have a problem with the leisure suit that I train in as well, right?

What about clips online that I can download?

I am in Iraq as well and mail is very slow in getting here. January is the cut off time for recieving mail here, though I wont be home for a couple of months after that. The internet connection is pretty slow but I can download while I sleep.

There are no partners that I can train with (very new, six months before shipping out to Iraq) and I can't seem to remember a lot of what I went over in class. So some sort of clips to watch would help. I do have "The Spirit of Aikido" by Kisshomaru Ueshiba and it is very good, but it is no substitute for doing it.

May I suggest that you purchase all three volumes of "Aikido The Power and The Basics"...Asim Hanif is absolutely correct, you can't go wrong. I refer to them frequently. They are quite helpful.

But, please be mindful, nothing substitutes practice, :) If I may offer that...:D
