I had the good fortune to be able to visit Maui Ki Society last winter, and boy, they have some of the most focused young (and not so young) aikidoka I've ever seen. I'm not at all surprised that they did well. By the end of my trip, I *so* wanted to throw over my career and become a Hawaiian aikido bum....

when you have been training since you were 6-8 years old under 7th and 8th dan mentors, well I can imagine!
now they only have to train another 15 years to reach the age when I started learning aikido. :(
:D Congrats from Texas
I hope they continue to train. At 30 they will be amazing.

Maui exit plan -
1. pack gi
2. cash in frequent flyer miles
3. find a cheap bungalow on the north side near dojo
4. buy surf board and scuba gear for daytime
5. binoculars for whale season
