I'm looking forward to taking part in the forums. Any hints on proving my robotic clumsy ukemi and improving reactions would be appreciated. Also my ken work and jo work need to improve. I always seem to be miles away from my partner and so most of my strikes would miss if I were to follow through and make contact.
I've been studying aikido for nearly two years and just when I think I've cracked it I find I know nothing.
I also do a small amount of shotokan.

Wot's that when it's at home? It's never at home! :grr: was watching "The Last Samurai" the other day and they are persistant about having an "empty mind" if you want to perfect (if there is such a thing) a technique. I tried this, and found that an empty mind at the moment is just as well because every shot I almost end up taking my head off.
