That is the question... I know this has probably been beat to death, but I thought I would ask anyway. :D
Single vs Double weave.... Pros? Cons? Thoughts?
Thanks!

I know the double will be heavier/stiffer.... Is it needed? Maybe I should just stick with the single weave.... Any double weave owners regret the purchase?

I go seasonal. Single in warm weather and double in the cold.

I go quantity. Meaning that I can usually get two single weave gi for near the same price as one double weave :D

Well, I wound up getting the "Deluxe Single Weave" from Century. Wow it's a lot better than the JK I had before.... Pants are nice and thick and double layered all the way down the front. It has a stiff lapel, but I'll get used to it... I have a wholesale account with Century so I got it cheaper than listed...

I bought a dbl weave uniform from century about 5 years ago. I still have it and it's nice. It was a Swain uniform.
I recently bought a Black dbl weave from AWMA for 56 including shipping. So far, so good. I dont like the traditional drawstring pants, but other than that, they are crafted far better than the swain pants, by having more support in the knee area.
Anyways, glad to see yah got some for yourself. I do suggest going through other companies though. Century is too expensive. You can get a single weave Judo uniform for around $30 from other companies and its the same construction as the Mike Swain I got from Century.

I still love the single weave Mizuno judo gi. The best price I've found on the net is at The Academy of Karate Martial Art Supply (http://www.martialartssupermarket.com/). They run about $65 for a size 6.
