Hey guys, my name is Nick and though I've been training in the martial arts for over 15 years I'm new to Aikido. I've only been training for about 3 months and I'm LOVIN IT!!

I'm studying under O'Connor Sensei, Anyone hear of him?
In the east coast he has an Outstanding reputation and thus far he's lived up to it.

I don't what took me so long to look into Aikido, I guess I fell for all the unjustified ridicule a lot of striking arts tend to throw at an Aikido. Saying how impractical it is and how it can't work without a willing partner. I'm glad I didn't listen and found out for myself how untrue it all is.

Well, that's all for now.... you’ll all be hearing more from me later.

Nick

Hi. When I first started aikido, in a dojo so new I was the only student, Greg O"Connor's book The Aikido Student Handbook was my best friend--so while i've never met the man, I am a fan of his! Happy training, Nick.

Hi Nick,

Yes, I know O'Connor Sensei. He's a very gracious man with excellent aikido and a terrific set of dojos. You picked a winner to train with. He likes to bring his students to lots of seminars, and I see them regularly in Cincinnati and at Summer Camp. Hope to see you there?

best, Rachel

I was fortunate to train at his dojo for 2 nights about a year ago. I didn't catch him, but his student instructors were top notch. I can only imagine that he must be too. And he was most gracious to a visiting aikidoka. Nice school, nice people.
