When Susan speaks of doing her forty consecutive falls without having to call the paramedics, I hope she is not inferring anything about the somewhat younger yudansha who got sick after his forty :p
In his defense, he had had a pretty rough weekend travelling from a seminar and being stressed about his wife who had been laid up sick for awhile and still wasn't feeling 100%.
Oh, and my, errr... his guy was throwing wayyy too hard ;)

Actually, Jon, you're one of those indestructible ukes who bounces beautifully. You're up on your feet with no heaving at all! (No pun intended...)

I liked the honesty of the contributors. I don't talk about fear much even though I feel it often on and of the mat.
I could relate to Janets' steering wheel banging drive home.
The article remimded me that our greatest limitation is being in denial about our limitations.

Thank you Patrick. Its not that I think fear is something we should dwell on or magnify. Just that I think those who experience it on the mat but don't want to look at it or own it end up turning it into negative body habits or attitudes to partners. Those who are willing to look at it are more likely to allow their mindful training to transform them in a positive way.
