Hi all !

I've begun working on a much needed encyclopedia for our childrens team,
I've got most of the written material I need,
but I have a hard time finding a collection of black&White illustrations that I can legally apply.

Any ideas ?

Yours - Chr.B.

How are your drawing skills? You can sketch from still frames of film, or just candid shots from camera...........there are lots of great shots out there in the internet.......but I don't know how the copyright issues stand. If the images are changed a bit, (again sketching skill) they are not the original image and free of the copyright restrictions. Out of courtesy and respect for the owners of the copyright......you should make quite visable changes.

Any artists in your area that are friendly? Do you draw? can you trace.....(this is a good way to get started on line drawings)

Good luck, let us all know how you make out with this. Is your encyclopaedia going to be commercially available?

Yours

Lan

Hi Lan !

I used to be quite good at drawing but

it needs a lot of refreshing.

I know that in our dojo we have some great

material but there's no evidence of where it comes from - it includes iaido katas.

As for making it commercially available,

I'll only consider it if it gets good.

Most material is OK'ed for noncommercial use,

so keeping it a local affair should keep me out of trouble.

As for drawing on computer I have Image (Kodak -I think) but I'll have to spend some

time on it to make it work.

A 3D drawing program could be nice but I have no such.

Thanks for your interest - Chr.B.
