Greetings to all Aikidoka,
and casual visitors to the site.

While new to the website, I'm not that new to aikido. Have been studying the art for about thre and 3/4 years now. And just when I think I start to work it out, I find out there is a bit more further on.;)

Without a doubt, Aikido I find to be an effective martial art. I had all doubts removed when I broke a collar bone in two places.

But due to years of face plants and Ikkyos, nikkyos, and so on, I regained full mobility very quickly.

And I'm still good freinds with the fellow who threw me that move.

Interesting was the discussion about is Aikido "size-ist". Being 6ft3, and training shihonage against a 5ft0 partner, you rapidly learn that this is a three dimensional art. (four really: Timing as well.)

Anyhow, it's nice to have a site where you can chat with like minded individuals, understand the jargon, and if need be, you can throw a question on the forum floor, and everyone can have their say. Or not.

Say kudos to the webmaster, for a freindly website.
