~~I break these honking big vit C 500mg tablets in half and know immediately if I'm using muscular strength (shoulders bunch and the flow of energy goes right back into my chest) or principles (shoulders relax, energy flows outward through fingertips, tablet snaps cleanly in half). Opening jars, breaking kindling, moving objects, etc. Simple observations but all great training throughout the day.

~~Anyone else? :D

I use a knife. :D

As for opening jars, splitting chopsticks or other fiddly stuff, I don't think I'm sensitive enough to accurately determine whether I'm using the correct principles or not.

Opening doors or moving heavier objects, I do get a clearer idea of whether I'm using my whole body or just upper body strength. However, when I find myself using the correct principles, I start thinking, "what a wuss...had to use your whole body on that one, didn't you?" ;)

I just take the whole 500mg tablets.

Sometimes I take 2 of them... :p

Actually, this reminds me of when my husband came home one day and was practically jumping up and down with excitement, telling me, "I used my Ki to open a door today! I used my Ki to open a door today!"

Then I, naturally being the smart*ss that I am, said, "Oh, you mean like everyone else?" (Read "Ki" as "key") *chuckle* I'd say he walked right into that one, but that would just be another bad pun... ;)

One of our teachers showed us cool experiments with that, like making a clean cut through a cake with relaxation (I assume that's what it was, but I guess you could call it ki extension), if you do it properly the molecules of the cake seem to move aside for the blade and you don't have a mangled slice, the result is a very clean cut. Now, if I can only apply this analogy to slicing with a sword... that ought to make a great party trick at the next birthday...!

It's heartwarming to see folks unlocking their potential.
