That's a bet you'd lose. The audience would say that was a standing arm bar or arm crank which then got reversed into a sleeper with a rake of the eyes.
Professional wrestling has long used those holds, albeit with different names. Even so, professional wrestlers would trace the roots of the techniques back to catch as catch can wrestling (in the US) or possibly to judo (in Japan --- although Gotch left his mark in Japan so the answer may ultimately be catch as catch can).

Paul, are you really claiming the US for the start of pro-wrestling? Or just in its current format?
Odd sleeper hold, doesn't look as though it's hitting the areas I'd expect. I'd be inclined to say it was more just a strangle from the pressure across the from of thethroat. Still, I can almost see the attraction of US-style pro-wrestling from this clip, but I just can't cope with the pre-bout acting...
Ian,
Remember you asked for it.....
Paul, are you really claiming the US for the start of pro-wrestling? Or just in its current format?
Neither. However, the individuals in the images are Torrie Wilson (in black) and Ivory (in purple). Both are employed by the WWE --- formerly the WWF --- a US company. As US pro wrestlers, they would have been trained by camps in the US, and therefore, I believe they would trace their lineage back to catch as catch can, ultimately. Realistically, I would be extremely surprised if either individual would be aware of the lineage of the technique they use or any other martial art/martial system.

LOL! It's all acting. The industry term is worked. While every detail of the match isn't planned out, the length of the match, the winner and the manner of the win is generally known. Inbetween, the rest is improvised give-and-take with the emphasis being on entertaining the fans.
So, of course the holds have some give in them. One's opponent has to be able to escape to keep the interest of the fans (the industry term is marks ).

Paul, you mean it's all fake?! Well I'll go to the foot of my stairs... I haven't had this much bad news since someone tried to teach me the ikkyo pin was the most effective pin in aikido (I think they still believed in santa) :D . Sorry, I'll try not to go off on an irrelevant tangent.
Eric, tut tut, technique is everything - but agree with your assessment. However, as I think either one of them out-masses me by 400% I'm glad it's only a picture.
Ian,
Paul, you mean it's all fake?!
Not fake. Worked. Fake implies not real. It is "real". People really get thrown around, take ukemi for the falls ("bumps" in the industry), jump off the top rope, get cut and bleed in the ring, really toss people around....just like aikido class, it's "real".
It's "real" insofar as it happens. It's worked because there's a set ending and the conflict is cooperative.
However, as I think either one of them out-masses me by 400% I'm glad it's only a picture.
Both ladies are petite. If you are more than 70 kg, chances are you would have more mass.

Paul, ok, I submit :) I promise not to even intimate I'm having fun about WF in future - but your 70Kg weight reference took me ages to convert to proper money, are they really only that big? I was expecting 6'+ amazonians (or is that just me fantasising again...)
