Mat Covers

Hi, we're looking to do some remodeling of our dojo this summer. And we want to get a cover for our mats to help keep them nice and make them last longer.

Does anyone know what type of material is generally used?

Does anyone know of any suppliers for a mat cover?

I'd appreciate any advice!! Thanks!
BTW the mat space is about 500 square feet.

...Does anyone know what type of material is generally used?...For a canvas cover, I believe it is number 8 canvas. Be sure to get them to sew double seams. I've been told ordinary seams tends to come apart.

When you have the canvas cut you can also have them put in grommets. You can buy the canvas and have it sewn/cut to size.

Traditionally dojos have used sailmakers, but I've found the guys who make canvas tops for truck covers to be cheap and reliable. Check your Yellow Pages.
