Hi,
What a community! My first to-the-point selfish question -- are there any good Aikido dojos in Tokyo? Preferably around the Shibuya region?
Thanks for any tips, and a warm Hi to everyone.

Sorry, Daniel. I didnt quite catch that. Is it Aikido humor? Or the name of a dojo/club in Ebisu?
Thanks for replying, but appreciate if you could clarify what you meant.

I apologise for any misunderstanding :)
Ebisu is the name of a purpose-built drift/race track, somewhere in Japan. I was merely expressing somewhat envy at your location, and jesting in relation to the shared name.
Good luck in finding a dojo :)

Don't know about Ebisu but its on the Yamanote Line so you can go just about anywhere. I am in Shinagawa. There is a Yoshinkan aikido class held in Omori Gold's Gym just one one stop out of Oimachi.

should be one "one" in my last message.
I know that Nishio sensei has a few dojo's in the warabi area. They are definately worth visiting if you want to do aikikai aikido. It should be possible to find a dojo where either Arisoue sensei or Tanaka sensei teaches. Both are very experienced.
You could contact Shishiya sensei (student of Nishio sensei). I know he's got a dojo in Tokyo, but I don't know exactly where it is. Check out:

I REALLY wish I could show you myself, but my wife don't want to move to Japan... :(
Best of luck

Shashank,
Our dojo's are all in the Nakano area, each within a couple of minutes stroll from the local station. Details of all classes, schedules and location maps can be found at:
