Phew! So, I headed out of town on Friday morning for a four-day seminar, only to hear there that the server was inaccessible. It turns out that the server suffered a hardware failure. Luckily, though, the drives seemed to be OK so I was able to recover all of the data. I took this as an opportunity to upgrade some pieces of software including the operating system (to FreeBSD 5.0) and Apache (to 2.0.44) amongst other things. The AikiGallery is down at the moment due to its being upgraded as well. In any case, please let me know if you see or experience anything odd. I apologize for the inconvenience and I hope everything will be back working at tip-top speed again soon! -- Jun

Good job. What was the server's problem? Colonel Panic reported for duty eh?
I sent you traceroute thinking that it would help only to realize seconds later that yer mailserver was probably on the same box. Duh.

Wow man, I thought something bad happened.
Luckyly you managed to solve it!
Are you hosting the site @Home?
I thought you were hiring some space on an ISP with PHP support.
Thanks for all the effort you put in mantaining this incredible and adictive site.
Regards.

Thanks for making me have to work all day Friday. :)
Hows BSD 5 been? I don't trust Apache 2.x yet, but only because I had trouble getting it to work well with php, mysql, mod_perl, and mod_soap. I guess I'm just anal.

Hi, Jun; I was worried there for a bit; I thought it might be my miserable computer. (LOL!) Glad to see everything's OK. :)

Glad the site's back up. I was wondering what to do. I even had the perverse thought of actually doing some work or even, horror of horrors, talking to a real human being.
Have fun

Hi Jun,
I've been getting two different home pages since the server has been back up. The way I could quickly tell was that the forum topics were different. When I hit refresh, the current homepage comes back up
I'm using Windows92 SE. Thought you might like to know.

Hi Ted,
Have you tried clearing out all of your cookies from your browser? Also, you might want to try clearing out all cached content from your browser as well.
If you don't know how to do the above, if you can tell me which browser you're using, I can try to find out how to do so for you...
