THE IGNOR FEATURE ... yo ho.

I have a simple question.

Well, maybe two questions.

How many of you use the ignor feature to ignor posters?

Did you realize that the things you dislike in others are the things you most dislike in yourself, or dislike displayed in yourself?

This is, of course, the mirror question, but it also is an Aiki solution to finding tolerance also.

I have tried it a couple of times, but then miss all sorts of good posts that way. If I don't like what someone writes, I pretty much ignore it by not reading it.

Bruce,

I often find your posts and the way you write either insulting or incomprehensible. Whether you write this way on purpose or not does not really matter. Still, I am willing to take a lot of sh#t because I dont like the idea of missing out the interesting bits.

BTW did you realize that all the people that ignore you simply wont see your question/ramble anyway?

The problem with the ignore button are that it eliminates all the threads that are started by that person. It also eliminates, as Erik says, the posts and questions that that person poses, so the answers are completely incomprehensible.

I also find you quite insulting at times Bruce, but it is easy to ignore those posts (often you have very interesting things to say) or just skim over them. Bruce, I get the feeling you are trying to excite some interest in different ideas and ways of thinking, but can't you do it in a more polite and less agressive manner? (okay, this was agressive on my part...sorry) It seems that a tact like that would work better.

just my $.02
