Hi folks,

Iím looking for a first language English speaking person to review a small book.
It is about Zen & Aikido, 50 pages. The German original has been published some years ago, a few hundred pieces. Now the new edition is supposed to be available in English, too.

Any suggestion, volunteer, help ...?

Thanks,
Hagen

I have read "Zen and Aikido" by Shigeo Kamata and Kenji Shimizu, about 150 pages.

From my limited experience (I train in a Yoshinkai dojo), I would say the Zen is nice as an introduction to that discipline, and the aikido is good, although a little soft by Yoshinkan standards.

I especially like the emphasis that true aikido practice is definitely not short term, but may easily take a decade or a life time.

Hope this helps. I am only intellectual at this stage, and need much more training.

I would be happy to review it. I am a student of Buddhism.

I too would like to review this work. Several other members of my dojo would most likely be interested in reviewing it also, many of them are zen buddhist and also read german if it at all helps.

Cheers,

Frank

I don't know much about zen, but I'd also like to read & review 'zen and aikido'.
