I've only been training Aikido for about a year but the first time I steped on too the mat I know this was something I was going to continue with.
Eversince when I step on the mat I feel like I get healed both mentaley and physicaley. This probable is love because whenever I'm not on the mat I almost allways think about it and when I'm on it I forget everything else. I know that this Isn't a good description but it's the best I can do :)
Can anyone relate to this?
(or I'm I just wierd;) )

Like in other forms of love, this first thrilling phase is a passing stage. If it will develop to a mature love or not, will show...

Yes, you are weird. All of us are.

yeah i know the feeling too..... fades after a year though, as i guess the passion in a relationship fades.... and you just become comfortable with it all, and have all the damn ups and downs that a relationship has.... hey good analogy.....

This reminded me of some thing Bruce Lee once said
Love is like a friendship caught on fire. In the beginning a flame, very pretty, often hot and fierce, but still only light and flickering. As love grows older, our hearts mature and our love becomes as coals, deep-burning and unquenchable

Yeah I understand what you mean.

There is something about the Sensei student relationship is kind of hard to put in to words but I would compare it to a kind of father son relationship (or mother daugter)

But it migth be diffrent for other people in fact I'm sure that it is diffrent for others. Everything depends on the person in question (sensei or student) what they are willing to make out of the situation :)
