Just trying to get some opinions on this one. I've been practicing most of the Ki exericses as part of my aerobic workout during the day but I've been doing them before I go to bed which is after any meal that I've had. Is it better to do them in the morning or evening, before or after a meal ? Does it really matter ?

It matters.

Practice before eating sunrise is best; then, any other time, before eating.

I believe you should train when your energy levels are up and that would mean after you had a meal (not too soon after though). Depending on the intensity of the work out I think uping your carbohydrates before a work out would be necessary (at least most bodybuilders do to increase energy levels). I dont buy these low carb high protein diets; very unhealthy. Ive been told exercising before bed can have negative affects on sleeping patterns aswell.

Just last night I was reading about some ki excercise (for Xing Pi or something like that). Train at sunrise, midday and sunset. Do not train when the stomach is too full (or you will injure yourself) or when too empty. Don't eat, drink, defecate or urinate directly after practise (as it results in a loss of ki).

Don't know much about the truth of this myself - generally I have to drink after pretty much any excercise!
