I've been lurking for a few weeks, maybe a month or two and thought I'd sign-up. It's good to see a community like this growing as big and as great as it has been.

I'm new to Aikido, as well as Martial arts. From what I've gathered and researched, it's just the right combination of mind-body control as well as spiritual thinking that I need in life. The self defense is an added bonus, in my opinion. Makes things a little more "movement orientated" vs, sitting and thinking all day. (Well, that's just my opinion..)
