Ukemi terminology question here: Tobu ukemi or Tobi ukemi?
In the Iwama Dojo I seem to remember the term Tobu ukemi was used. In a Japanese language Google search I mostly get Tobi ukemi.
Maybe it is dojo- related? Enlighten me, please :-)

All I know is that tobu means jump (verb) and tobi means jump (noun).
But perhaps you already knew that.

Thanks Dave. Yes, I did know the verb and noun form. It's more a question of the general usage of the term Tobi ukemi versus Tobu ukemi.
Let's see if something turns up from the people out there. Otherwise, I'll be translating for Inagaki Sensei in Birmingham, GB very soon and I will ask him.
Thanks again for the input.
