Here's an aikido article entitled "At nearly 80, he earns his black belt in Aikido" (http://www.philly.com/philly/news/breaking/20150322_At_nearly_80__he_earns_his_black_belt_in_Aikido.html) which highlights Bob O'Hare who recently took his shodan exam for his 80th birthday.
From the article: "It's a good feeling to work out and stretch and use your body and roll around," he said. "When I spend an hour and a half at the dojo for a training session, I will be thrown to the ground 100 times and get up. And I will throw someone else to the ground 100 times, and they will get up. This ability to work together and feel myself active, with somebody, it's a good feeling, and at the end of it, it's not like, 'Wow, what a workout.' It's more like, 'That was wonderful. And calming.' "

I saw an older gentlemen one day in a health club. His tee shirt read: "Things get better with age. I'm approaching magnificent". :)
I'll bet Bob would agree wit that.
We can all hop e to move so well at 80! Congratulations and well done.
