Aikido Newbie

I am new to Aikido but not to its history. I grew up listening to my mom talk about Aikido. She studied with O'Sensei and Kochi Tohei Sensei and was instrumental in bringing Aikido to New York and Hong Kong (which wasn't the easiest thing for a woman to do in the 1960's). I always resisted learning Aikido but promised her one day I would. I am about six months into keeping that promise. So far, the most surprising thing to me is that I am really enjoying it! Thanks for the forum!
