Ok, as much as I browse the forums and read the articles and Aikiblogs here on this fantastic forum, I am looking to start my own AikiBlog. However I DO NOT KNOW HOW !
This may seem like the most obvious of questions, but how do I make a blog entry ? I have been hunting high and low for answers on the forum, trying to find the FAQ using the search tab etc, but nothing is helping me.

I know that the solution is probably staring me in the face and I am just oblivious to this.

Please help ! :freaky:
Again, apologies if there is already a thread dedicated to this and my detective skills are lacking !

Thank you
Mark.

Thanks.

Thanks for the reply Rob. However I do not have a drop down menu on that TAB.

Thanks for the reply Rob. However I do not have a drop down menu on that TAB.

Are you using windows 8 or maybe a touch screen device? Mouse over drop down does not work very well unless using a mouse type pointing device. If you can see the inverted triangle then the drop down is there.

Actually ... I just tried using win8 touch screen device and the drop down works fine. For a new blog (if you don't have one yet) there is an entry at the bottom of the drop down "setup you own blog".

Make sure you are in FORUM of AIKIBLOG by clicking on them from the left side panel. Can't see it from the home page, etc.

I'm not sure why you can't see the drop-down menu and such. What is the browser and operating system you are using?

Here's the direct link for setting up an AikiBlog here on AikiWeb:

http://www.aikiweb.com/forums/blogs/manage.php?do=setup

Otherwise, the AikiWeb AikiBlog section may be found here:

http://www.aikiweb.com/forums/blogs/

Hope that helps,

Thanks for the information folks.
I was using google chrome when I encountered the issues, however, believe it or not, while viewing (and posting this comment) I can see the Aikiblog drop down menu no bother. Confused is not the word.

Lol

Thanks again :)

Strangely, just before finding this thread, I was trying to post a blog entry. I, too, was using Google Chrome and had no inverted triangle next to the 'Aikiblogs' tag. I switched to Firefox and there it was...

So apparently, if you want to use AikiBlogs, you can't post with GoogleChrome, which is really a shame. I wonder why that is...

Exactly what happened to me Christian. It's always nice to have a back up browser :)

Strange -- I use Chrome as my main browser (current version on my Mac here: 25.0.1364.172) and have had no such problems...

I use chrome as my normal browser in windows but it seems to be unstable for some things in vbulletin. If you click on blog tools to create a new entry you get suddenly redirected back to the forums index page. So for posting to my blog I use internet explorer.

I sent an e-mail to the AikiWeb administrators about this Google Chrome issue and got a reply saying that that person (the administrator writing to me) uses Google Chrome all the time and has no problems with the aikiblogs. So, I attempted to use Google Chrome to post again, just now. I changed all the settings I could think of, but none of them helped. I still cannot see the inverted triangle with GoogleChrome. (I am on a public Windows computer in an Internet cafe in Japan.) So I give up now, but it is a shame as I really, really prefer Chrome. This is the first time I've had any trouble with it.
