Tonight in beginners class I taught, among other things, ai dori kote gaeshi, and after demonstrating the throw to one pair, I noticed that uke's upper foot was twitching spasmodically.
"...are you... your foot..." I looked at his face, and back to the foot. The twitching paused. "I'm fine," he said. The twitching started up again. At this point I started giggling uncontrollably, let go of uke, backed away, tried to get a hold of myself... and kept on giggling. I finally had to go blow my nose because my eyes were watering.
Everyone else in the dojo was definitely laughing (gently)at me, not with me.
I don't know why it seemed so hilarious, but it was fun anyway.

lol, that is one of those difficult situations where it would be improper to laugh but you just cant help it! I get that often, its awful at the time as you try and supress the laughter, it just gets worse. I completely get where your coming from on this one.

Training in class one evening, I was working with a someone that I have spent a lot of time with after class talking & laughing. I had told him a story about someone I worked with years ago that had a problem with involuntaraly making loud honking noises! Seriously - he did this all the time & seemed to be unaware of it. Anyway, while training with my friend, I was nage & just about to throw him kaiten nage, had him in position and he made a very loud honking noise! I just stopped dead, laughed out loud, so loud - I snorted. Sensei comes over, I just couldn't stop laughing, had to get off the mat.
