Hello everyone,
Had an experience tonight that I thought I'd share for all those in or near Michigan.
Some of the students from our dojo went to Grand Rapids tonight to train in a AAA dojo up there ( http://www.toyodacenter.com )
I could go on and on about the great experince we had there, wonderful people, top notch instruction, and beautiful techniques. Feyen sensei and his students have built a beautiful dojo and they are extremely welcoming. They were also quite patient with us wussy seidokan types...which was good because we we're stumbling around like retarded monkeys :p
Thank you Feyen sensei for opening up your dojo to us, and thank you to Becca and Dave for the great classes, and to all the students who were so patient and friendly.
If anyone out there is ever in the area I would strongly recommend training there if at all possible.
Thanks for listening,
Bronson

Hey Rachel, no problem. Where in Ann Arbor do you study? Do you have a website? Are they open to visitors from other styles? Do they have weekday/weeknight classes? Ann Arbor's really not that far from Battle Creek. If your dojo is open to people from other styles I might get the itch to come try your flavor of aikido one day :D
Thanks,
Bronson

Greetings All,
My employer is sending me to Ann Arbor from Sunday, July 28, to Friday, August 2. Any suggestions on where to practice? I'll be able to train on Monday and Tuesday evening, and possibly Thursday evening as well.
I started my aikido training with Saotome-sensei in July 1984 at the Washington, DC Aikikai (now known as Aikido Shobukan Dojo). For the past three years, I've been teaching at Aikido of Northern Virginia (www.aikido-nova.org). Jun can vouch for me, if you have any questions. (Thanks, Jun!)
Please feel free to e-mail me at Jim_Sorrentino@hotmail.com.
Thanks!
Jim
