Aikido dojo's in Paris?

Hi just a quick to ask if anyone can recommend any dojo's in Paris? I will be over there in mid August for a few days so thought I might try and get some training in? I train in traditional but I am open to any style including aikijitsu. So can any of you recommend anywhere? I am staying close to the Degall (sp) train station and unfortunately can't speak French! It may be a lot to ask for the schools to cater for someone with no French but I thought I would contact them before hand to ask.

I was there in december last year for 3 weeks at Christian Tissier Sensei's dojo.

I don't speak french and it wasn't a big problem. Classes are conducted in french though. It's walking distance from Château de Vincennes metro station (about 10-15 minutes). You will see a small entrance through an alley way, beside a small restaurant. The signature is not really big, so you have to look carefully. Walk into the alley way and you will see the dojo at the end.

better be aware, that holidays have started this week in France. Holidays should last until 3rd of September ... Many dojos will probably be closed or operate with reduced time table.

I've visited Tissier's dojo too and enjoyed it. No idea if many people speak english or not (in any large dojo there will likely be at least a few who do, though), but hey, Aikido is basically taught visually and kinesthetically anyway. You don't need to share a spoken language to train and learn from each other.

totally agreed.

I was 5th Kyu when I visited the dojo and all of the instructors came to check on me (in english) to make sure everything was fine every now and then.

I have very fond memories of that Dojo. I hope to be back there soon.
