Hello everyone, I just started my journey into Aikido at the age of 40. I have taken my first class and I must say everyone from the Sensei to the students were very welcoming and very helpful. I very much enjoyed this experience. I worked with a senior student who practiced falls with me. Sensei would come over a few times and instruct us on a number of occasions. I was tumbling pretty good making many mistakes. The funny thing about falling is you Ďfeelí your mistakes :D I worked up a nice sweat and I felt good in general. My hamstrings, particularly the right one, were sore and I was a little woozy/ dizzy from all the falling. It was a good time and IíM looking forward to more as I have only taken just the first step into this remarkable martial art.

I was almost 40 when I started. I would get sore at first but it has been a very enjoyable and healthful thing for me. I found it helps me get my mind out of the stresses of the world as well. Welcome.
