Hi Everyone,

I just recently joined up, but I've been doing aikido for about 10 years now. I started in Australia, in a small school that I'm sure none of you have heard of. Since then, I have trained with Aikikai, firstly in Nagoya, and more recently with Kawamoto sensei (who was taught by Fujita sensei) in Fukushima. Last year, I moved to Tokyo, and I'm training with Shishiya sensei (who was taught by Nishio sensei). I find that at each stop I struggle to adjust to the new style, but I also enjoy the variety and learn a lot. Hopefully one day I can make it all work together.

Robin

I should probably also mention that I'm 30, originally from Australia but living in Japan, working as a translator.

Welcome- pull up a chair and visit for a while!

I think you're not alone here in having trained in various styles - makes for interesting comments from training partners sometimes...but also easier to fit in as a visitor.
