Since the forums seem focused on other stuff, I thought I'd post some photos of a daisho I just finished for a customer of mine.
What I started with were two bare blades by Howard Clark of Morgan Valley Forge. L6 katana and wakizashi. Both were in rough grind (i.e., not quite fully with edge yet). I asked Howard to make me simple folded iron fuchi, kashira, tsuba and menuki.
Both blades were polished and mounted by me. The idea was to create a very simple, understated set. The katana is just a hair over 30" nagasa with the wakizashi a more "conventional" 19" or so. The katana has a constant, shallow sori but since it so long it looks more straight than it really is.
The tsuka were both wrapped with black doeskin ito from Ted Tenold's Legacy Swords. I also used high grade samekawa which I antiqued (to match the feel of the fittings) and then polished to give it a "glow" more like you'd see on an older, high end mount.
Anyway, I took a few shots for the owner yesterday. I thought I'd share here since there are some with interest in shinken.

Wow.... these are beautiful Keith. While I don't really know much of anything about the sword arts I do enjoy seeing such fine examples. Perhaps someday I will be able to have one of my own. Thanks for sharing. :)
