Kalimera, Stelios, Efharisto and good wishes to you and your family, dojo and friends. Glad you are joining Aiki
web. Looking forward to hearing about you, your dojo and life
on the famous island of Crete, if you have time to write. Our
city has two Greek churches which have fairs and bazaars so we
all eat Greek food here, including the diners and restaurants.

Myself, I'm returning to practice after many years and looking
forward to it.

Thanks for writing , Diana (in Greek, Artemisia)

Thank you all for your warmth and wishes.
Yes, the island of Crete is amongst the most beautiful places in Greece and Aikido has been making its first steps around for a decade now.
Sadly, although there are literally tens of martial arts schools and people around here have adopted a positive atitude towards mental and physical training, Aikido has not drawn the attention it deserves (imho).
Nevertheless, there are students that have been aboard since the begining of the journey and i believe they are the most profound example that will and persistence -no matter the difficulties- are always the little lanterns that will light up the path.
i am only at 1st Kyu but my life has changed for the better since that Aikido flyer reached me some years back.
Great health to you all

Do they push the spiritual side of Aikido there? I don't think many Greeks would care for that skata,...I know I don't.
