Hi to everyone on the forum.
Just signed on as a new member, Ive been practising Aikido for 5 yrs now and am currently Shodan. Used to train 3 nights a week, but due to nature of my job (Prison Officer at Englands Most Notorious Jail) and the distance to my Dojo, that has been cut to 3 nights monthly. Our style is very much traditional, however under the guidance of sensei Jim McPhail (Yondan) we do cover the Budo side, utilizing many street orientated techniques. I would like to chat with anyone who trains in a similar style, no! tell a lie, happy to chat to anyone. so dont be shy drop me a line:D
Hi Nick,
Welcome to the AikiWeb Forums! I'm sure you'll find people here who practice a similar "style," so please feel free to let us know about your thoughts and experiences.

Hi Nick, did you go to the last BAB course at Crystal Palace? I seem to remember some guys from your neck of the woods on the mat. Anyway, we are traditional with a touch of "street" every now and then. I'll try to look you up when I'm next in your area.
Have fun.

Hi Nick,
I´m new to the forum too. Welcome. I train in a street orientated style. I have been practicing for 6 years and find it a challenge to apply aikido in the real world.
I live in Spain, this is the only chance I get to chat about these things in my native language. Its nice to hear form you.:D
:ai: :ki: :do:
Love and light, Ali
