Their hakamas look pretty good, especially the cotton, indigo one (http://aikido-japan.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2&products_id=198).

Since no there haven't been any "takers" on this thread, I will offer this bit of advice... if their hakama order fulfillment turn-around is similar to their gi order turn-around, order it 3-4 weeks in advance of when you need it.

I ordered a gi from them in mid oct. got it towards end of first week in nov. I was/am in the market for 3 gis, but didn't want to commit to over-the-internet sizing/overall feel for all three so I thought, order 1 first and if happy order more. Well I ordered 2 more 9 days ago (so I'm obviously happy with the product) and still no update on shipping so I guess I'm in for another long wait.

Just a check in as I'm stuck in. a hotel with plenty of time on my hands.
Amazingly, the gis never arrived nor did iI receive any communication regarding fulfillment. I wasn't charged for them either but I refused to make follow up calls to coax them to fulfill the order, and on the first order when I called I got the feeling I was calling someones home number rather than a business. Strange business practices...

Too bad, because I do like the product. Oh well.

Is it possible it was a home business wiped out by the quake?

No, they were/are based out of canada.
