I don't mean to be disrespectful but why the big push of Buddhism on the site, what does Buddhism and Seagal's supposed reincarnation have to do with Aikido?

Michael,
Our Institute is an Eastern Culture and Tradition Center oriented by Master Steven Seagal. We have two main organizations inside: The SENGE AIKIDO DOJO - An AIKIDO Organization and the SENGE LING - A Dharma (Buddhism) Organization (both oriented by Master Seagal that is master in both matters)
Actually, if you study History, the beginning of all martial arts comes from Buddhism. Even in Japan, the Shinto (Aikidoīs Founder religion) and Buddhism live together.
But, there is no "big push", for us doesnīt matter your religion, we have hundreds of christian members learning Aikido, who want to learn Buddhism is also welcome. Finally, everybody with pure intention is welcome.
peace,
A.Guerios

Harry,
Many people ask me the same question.
As far as know, it's a rumor.
Everybody who mention it "know someone that knows someone who were there when it happens".
And even if that did happen, I don't see any problem, nobody is invincible and Seagal Sensei never claimed to be such thing.
Elmer,
Thank you for your interest in our page.
Yes, we intent to improve it soon.
Peace everybody,
