I have read some unusual things about the term ki "energy" like creating a ball of energy and making a shield etc. I have also read that ki is most commonly used in aikido.

Is ki a load of B.S. (Excuse the language) or is there some truth behind this whole concept?

One more thong I want to add: I'm a very open mined person and in their perspective of the world it makes complete sense but the problem lies in whether their perspective is right or wrong.
